YMCA adventure guides is all about strengthening bonds between dads, and sons and daughters.
Adventure Guides is designed to strengthen the relationship between a parent and a child. Fathers and their children (sons and/or daughters) enjoy weekend camp outs, day trips and more!
Adventures Guides is open to all families with children, and you do not need to be a YMCA member to participate.
You'll plan your own shared adventures and experiences in tightly-knit groups. We call these groups 'circles'. Circles are member led. You will plan expeditions and take part in activities together with the other members of your group.
You can join a circle or form your own. Whichever circle you choose, you'll get chance to meet all the other Adventure Guides on some of the meetups and expeditions we hold throughout the year.
Throughout this site, you’ll see references to the term “parents,” which we define broadly to include all adults with primary responsibility for raising children. These include biological parents, adoptive parents, guardians, stepparents, grandparents raising children, or any other type of parenting relationship. All are welcome and encouraged to be guides in raising children for whom they are responsible or to whom they’ve committed to being a good adult role model.
