We are looking for a Science Programme Leader to join our Activities, Adventure & Camps Department to work on our YMCA Day Camps programme. Over 5 weeks of the summer holidays, you will deliver a science programme and other activities, including sports, arts, and crafts. Your priority will be to provide sessions that are enjoyable, safe and inclusive, whilst working to Ofsted guidelines, data protection requirements and YMCA policy and procedure.
Taking responsibility for providing support and guidance to all Junior Leaders and volunteers during Summer Camp, you’ll take pride working as part of a team to ensure high standards are maintained. Foremost, you will be dedicated to helping children of all abilities achieve their best.
You’ll need to be available for training between July 27th and August 28th. Our ideal candidate will have practical experience of delivering science activities to children aged 8 – 14. Excellent communication skills will be essential in sustaining positive relationships with parents and guardians, school staff, colleagues and line managers. Reliable and flexible, you will demonstrate the ability to organise and prioritise your workload.
