What do enjoy about working at Nottinghamshire YMCA?

Every day is different and I tend to see new face’s daily which is great. I really enjoy supporting residents through the good and the not so good but what I really love is seeing residents move on into their own properties and overcoming barriers and battles they face. What’s the best thing you’ve done whilst working here? The best thing was going from being a volunteer to a contracted full time Tenancy Sustainment Officer in the Housing team. After a year and a half of being in this role, I applied for a Personal Navigator role helping adults with multiple complex needs. I was successful in my application and have since been in this post since the 1st of November 2016.

What’s different about working here?

Every day is different, going out to our transitional houses and working together with other services to support our residents. I have a great team around me and we all pull together to achieve the best for the residents.

What would you say to someone thinking about applying for a job here?

Go for it! Nottinghamshire YMCA is a great place to work with many opportunities.
