Designed to inspire, support and develop young people
YMCA Creative Academy is a programme of workshops held as school holiday day camps and after-school sessions focused on building creativity, confidence and industry skills within the creative and performing arts.
Our sessions are open to young people of all schools aged 11-18, and provide an open, non-judgmental space to engage with professional singers, actors and dancers in a collaborative, creative environment.
Weekly sessions
Our Creative Academy is open to young people aged 11-17 and located at the YMCA Community and Activity Village, Newark.
From dance and drama sessions to art techniques, creative writing, and producing their own merchandise, every moment will be filled with excitement and discovery. In our spacious dance and art studios, a nurturing atmosphere, we ensure that each participant feels inspired and comfortable to express their unique talents.
