I would like to extend my most heartfelt thanks for your decision to become an energiser of social mobility by choosing to invest in the mind, body and spirit of young people across Nottinghamshire and beyond.
By joining our fight to place these needs at the heart of our society’s agendas, your investment is enabling YMCA to launch regeneration projects that unlock key youth development pathways to instigate meaningful social change.
Newark is currently second-to-lowest in the country for social mobility; and yet, thanks to your support, we are now in a position to change the world one community at a time as we unite around these issues together. Through the creation of our pioneering YMCA Community and Activity Village in Newark, your collaboration will specifically help the charity to provide a range of accessible educational, health, leisure and community services across the region.
The greatest gift we can give our children is a bright, safe and inspiration-rich future; so that, when they are the ready to take the reins, they are fully equipped with the education and care for others that will continue to make our society a better place for all.

Championing Social Mobility
We believe that every child should have access to experiences that encourage them to fulfil their potential. YMCA programmes to inspire our next generation will include everything from nurturing healthy living through sport to digital community projects, access to STEAM activities, mental health support and so much more!
We are dedicated to creating safe spaces for building lifelong friendship networks and apprenticeships to facilitate career development to help young people make the best decisions in life as they enter adulthood.
